Aja

A Sanskrit word the literal meaning of which is unborn or unproduced. In the Rig VedaKama or Kamadeva, the God of desire is described as Aja (the unborn), the first manifestation of the One. In later Hinduism, Brahma, Vishnu, and Siva are also considered aja or unborn. And in its feminine form as ajā, matter (prakriti) and illusion (maya) are also unborn, i.e., eternal.
