Keightley, Archibald

(1859-1930). One of the small band of workers around Helena P. BLAVATSKY in London who helped to edit The Secret Doctrine. Keightley joined the Theosophical Society (TS) in 1884. He was General Secretary of the English Section 1888-90. He left the Adyar TS and joined the breakaway portion of the American Section at the time of the division caused when William Q. JUDGE resigned to form the American theosophical group. Keightley left the Judge group when Katherine TINGLEY became its head.
