Prabhavapyaya

The place or plane from which everything originates and into which all things are resolved. The Sanskrit compound word is interesting since it is made up of two words that have opposite meanings; prabhava from the verbal root pra-bh™, meaning “to come forth, originate.” The second part apyaya, from the verbal root ap…, “enter into, vanish into.” Therefore, from a central point the Universe comes into being and at the end of its period, vanishes into the same point. This is a particularly interesting concept made in Helena P. Blavatsky’s The Secret Doctrine (I, p. 46) in that it seems to support the modern cosmological theory popularly known as the “Big Bang.”
